Moments ago, IMPACT Wrestling took to their social media Twitter account to reveal that IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Famer, Awesome Kong, as well as The Beautiful People – Angelina Love & Velvet Sky – will be at the IMPACT1000 episode.
On October 9th, 2021, at the IMPACT Wrestling Knockout Knockdown event, Christy Hemme announced that Awesome Kong would be inducted into the IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Awesome Kong was inducted into the IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame in October of 2021 by none other then IMPACT executive, Gail Kim. Kim and Kong had one of the best and baddest feuds in the history of TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.
Kong is a former 2x Knockouts World Champion, as well as a former Knockouts Tag Team Champion.
Angelina Love and Velvet Sky were part of the group The Beautiful People, but never captured TNA Knockout Tag Team gold together; Velvet Sky captured it with Lacey Von Erich, and Love won the Knockouts Tag Team Titles with Winter. However, Love is a former 6x TNA Knockouts World Champion, and the first to ever hold the title that many times. She sits on that mountain behind only Gail Kim, who is a 7x TNA/IMPACT Knockouts World Champion.
Velvet Sky is an original TNA Knockout who was there for the inception of the division. Sky is a former 2x TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion, as well as a former IMPACT Knockouts World Champion.
The Knockouts Tag Team Titles have always alluded both Sky and Love as a team, but could we finally see everything line up properly now? Could we possibly see the duo compete for the coveted IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Titles this time around? That remains to be seen.
