Exclusive: Indy Star Junior Benito: Nick Wayne Signing With AEW Motivates Me to Work Harder, I Will Be There One Day Too

Canadian Indy sensation Junior Benito has been enjoying a huge amount of success the past 2 years as he continues climb the ladder to stardom in the world of professional wrestling.

Benito has made appearances for AEW, GCW, Limitless Wrestling, International Wrestling Syndicate, C4 Wrestling, Beyond Wrestling and many more top indy promotions. He has stepped into the ring with and faced top talent including Jeff Cobb, Alex Shelley, Wheeler Yuta and Josh Alexander.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated has recognized Benito as one of the top prospects for 2023.

Junior Benito took time out of his busy schedule to join Bodyslam.net’s Lewis Carlan for an exclusive interview on The Alliance Pro Wrestling Network YouTube Channel.

Benito, who is 21, was asked if 17 year old Nick Wayne signing a contract with AEW motivates him to work harder to get a contract himself:

Yeah, when I see Nick Wayne I tell myself man that’s a beautiful story. I have to remind myself everyone has their own stories in this business so it’s really up to me because I’m sure we’ve heard this a bunch of times in wrestling people get jealous or they get angry saying that should be their opportunity. People have to realize if everyone lived the same lives we’d all be the same, nothing will be different, nothing would stand out which is why Nick Wayne’s story is so cool and it stands out so well because no one’s ever seen that. So when I see that stuff of course it motivates me and it keeps me on the right path knowing that I really want to be there and I will be there and it gets me excited to get to work with a guy like Nick Wayne because at 17 years old and getting signed to one of the biggest promotions in the world you have to be great.
