The Growth Of Njpw Strong Since Its Debut At Korakuen Hall Is Discussed By Njpw President Takami Ohbari

Takami Ohbari believes NJPW’s dream was realized with NJPW STRONG.

In 2020, NJPW STRONG was established to expand its presence in the United States despite COVID-19 travel restrictions. When travel became available again, NJPW STRONG became a traveling brand and began organizing its own events in the United States. NJPW STRONG continues to hold pay-per-view events throughout the year, but NJPW adopted a different approach with its structure by shifting the weekly program to an on demand model early in 2023.

NJPW STRONG made its premiere in Japan on July 4 and 5, with NJPW STRONG Independence Day, a two-day extravaganza broadcast from Korakuen Hall. The event includes notable personalities such as Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Willow Nightingale, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and others.

NJPW President Takami Ohbari gave his thoughts on the rise of NJPW STRONG in a tweet, noting that they had always wanted to hold an event at Korakuen Hall. He emphasized the support of the supporters and stated that the organization will now seek the next goal.

When we launched this brand, we dreamed of growing it in the US and one day holding a NJPW STRONG at packed Korakuen Hall. Our dream came true. This success is not only thanks to the fans who watched the show yesterday and today, but also to the fans in the US and all over the world who have supported NJPW STRONG until today. We will pursue the next dream. #njpwSTRONG
