Hiroshi Tanahashi Says He Will Win The AEW World Title, The G1 And Main Event AEW All In

Hiroshi Tanahashi has big plans for the remainder of the summer.

At AEW Forbidden Door last year, Tanahashi featured in the main event as he and Jon Moxley battled for the interim AEW World Heavyweight Championship, with Moxley coming away with the win. However, this year Tanahashi hopes to go one step further as he will challenge AEW World Champion MJF at this years event.

Speaking to Tokyo Sports (via DeepL translation), Tanahashi commented on the bout and more.

“My Wembley debut is coming soon. I will prove that I am the first Japanese to win a title match and main event at Wembley in 100 years. I haven’t left my name in the history books yet, so I will start from here. Winning the belt in the U.S., winning the G1, and the main event at Wembley. It’s all set up nicely. It’s Mr. Blueprint,”

We will have to wait and see if Tanahashi can manage to complete the trifecta of huge moments over the course of this summer.

MJF has stated he will no show the title match, so that may provide a small hiccup immediately this week.
