Courtney Rush (Rosemary) Talks Trinity Choosing IMPACT Wrestling: “Maybe It Is Actually Good”

TRINITY coming to IMPACT Wrestling was somewhat of a shocker. The company teased a “MAJOR SURPRISE” ahead of the Chicago TV tapings on April 28 & 29th.

A few days before the tapings, it was revealed to be Trinity. She made her broadcast debut on the 5/4 episode of IMPACTonAXSTV where she was given a microphone and said she was happy to be back on tv and in a wrestling ring. She said she’s gunning for the top prize – the IMPACT Knockouts World Title.

In a new interview with Denise Salcedo, Courtney Rush, the former Rosemary, commented on Trinity coming into the company.

“It’s very cool, it’s honestly a sign of the times because how many times have we seen people going from TNA to WWE, but do you really see it come back that often? That was why Christian Cage was such a big deal when he and Kurt Angle, when they came over in the early days. There’s been so much stigma on TNA over the past decade-ish that you haven’t seen it very often and just the fact that Trinity, of all the options, of all of the choices of places she has to go right now, the fact that she chose to come to IMPACT, that’s cool. We haven’t seen that very often and that’s bringing a lot of eyes, that’s people going, ‘Okay, why would she choose to go there? Maybe it is actually good.’ That’s really neat and I love that she wants to be part of this locker room because to me, the Knockouts locker room is just like almost traditionally strong in building wrestling and so many different characters and the looks and different types of wrestlers that make up the Knockouts division. I love that she wants to be a part of that.”

Trinity then made her in-ring debut with IMPACT at the 5/18 episode against KiLynn King. After a solid 10 + minute bout, Trinity came out victorious and looked great doing it. Nobody would’ve been able to tell she’d be out of the ring for almost a full year if they hadn’t read it somewhere.

After defeating KiLynn King, Trinity announced that she had an Open Contract for a match at Under Siege- in what would be Trinity’s first LIVE event with the company. The open contract was accepted by Gisele Shaw.

Trinity defeated Gisele Shaw at Under Siege, and then defeated Shaw’s enforcer, Savannah Evans, last week on the 6/1 IMPACTonAXSTV broadcast.

After the match was over, Trinity challenged the IMPACT Knockouts Champion, Deonna Purrazzo, to a shot at her Knockouts Title at the company upcoming Slammiversary Pay Per View on July 15th. Deonna accepted the challenge and the match was made official.

It was also announced by the company that – after getting beaten down by Gisele Shaw and Savannah Evans post-match – Deonna will be teaming with Trinity to take on Gisele Shaw and Savannah Evans at the LIVE Against All Odds tomorrow night.

Courtney Rush (formerly Rosemary) teams with Jessicka (formerly Havok) – known as the Death Dollz – for a shot at the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Titless against the defending champions, The Coven (Taylor Wilde & KiLynn King).
