MJF spoke on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, and as his nameplate noted, it was day 200 of his AEW World Title reign.
MJF would begin his promo by calling the Colorado people drug addicts, attacking the state heavily. MJF would begin to state that there was no competition for him in AEW, and that no one was on the level of the devil. Then, Adam Cole’s music hit.
Cole came out to a huge reception from the Colorado crowd, with MJF cutting off Cole’s signature “Adam Cole Baybay” moment, to a lot of heat from the crowd. MJF would instantly note that Cole is worthy competition, putting Cole over as an inspiration of his. MJF would call Cole the best world champion in WWE’s history. MJF would then put over the rivalry as two generational talents. Then the flip switched, Cole would go after Cole’s gaming hobby, Britt Baker and his body.
MJF would then call back to Cole’s promo on Karrion Kross in NXT from a few years back. Then MJF would note that Vince McMahon didn’t see Cole as a top guy. MJF would then say he’s a big fan of Vince.
Cole would take a microphone himself then, and respond with a simple “Really?”. Calling MJF a social media troll. Cole would take digs at MJF’s history with relationships, calling MJF a world class douchebag. Cole said MJF can’t touch him. Cole then implied MJF takes steroids with a possible piss test. Cole then said that MJF has no respect backstage. Cole then called MJF a coward and then used MJF’s catchphrase against him, which angered MJF to the point that he accepted a match with Cole in the future.
