Before the match began, Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo announced that they are expecting a baby.
As expected, MJF would roll out of the ring and found himself cornered by the other three Pillars with the others hitting vicious chops on MJF with an eventual stalemate involving the trio.
The early stages of the match included the four men trading momentum repeatedly. However, there were intense flurries from Sammy and Darby Allin for near falls on MJF. MJF would then get his own flurry, getting a near fall on Darby.
Next, the four men would trade the moves of his mentors in a fun spot. MJF would get a near fall, before grabbing a microphone and asking Sammy to lay down once again. Sammy went for a roll up after saying he would lay down, but MJF was able to kick out.
The match would continue to keep the fans invested as the four pillars continued to trade momentum. The crowd would be louder than they were all night as near fall after near fall continued to flood in.
Sammy Guevara would hit an incredible Spanish Fly from the top rope to the outside, taking out the other 3 men in the match with one huge move.
After this would begin another sequence of fun roll ups and close falls, with MJF ending the fun by hanging Darby up on the second rope before landing a huge powerbomb from the top rope.
After a brief moment where it seemed Jungle Boy may use the title on Darby Allin, it turned into a fun spot at the end where MJF put the title on Jungle Boy as Darby Allin attempted to land the Coffin Drop. After landing the move, Allin was out, with MJF landing a headlock takeover on Darby for the win.
The devil remains the AEW World Heavyweight Champion.
