Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre had no idea they were being drafted to SmackDown from NXT.
Isla and Alba recently captured the NXT Women’s tag team titles and have found themselves very popular with fans on the developmental brand.
Partially due to this, Fyre and Dawn were drafted to SmackDown during night one of the WWE draft on Friday. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Fyre & Dawn gave their reaction to being drafted.
“I’ve been saying it for days, I still don’t feel like it’s quite settled in yet. We had no idea. No idea we were going to be drafted. It means so much. We both worked really hard for this and for a long time. Getting things like this, you know you’re being appreciated,” said Fyre.
Dawn added, “The timing with teaming a month ago, that was our second TV match, we’ve only been together a short time.”
