WWE SmackDown Final Viewership Is Up This Week

The final viewership numbers for a bumper edition of Friday Night SmackDown are in.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that the April 7 episode of WWE SmackDown averaged 2.468 million viewers in final numbers. This is up from the March 31 episode of the show, which drew 2.373 million viewers in final numbers. In terms of the key demo, Friday’s episode of SmackDown averaged a 0.69 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. This is also up from the March 31 episode of the show, which averaged a 0.66 rating.

SmackDown this week was main evented by Sami Zayn and Jey Uso in singles competition, with RAW superstar Matt Riddle appearing after to save Sami from Solo Sikoa and Jey’s post match beatdown. We’ll have to see if WWE can ride this wave of momentum into next week’s programming.
