Top IMPACT Wrestling Star Gisele Shaw Verbally Assaulted With Transphobic Remarks By Rick Steiner

IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Gisele Shaw came out last year as being transgender, and was largely celebrated throughout the wrestling community. Clearly, there are a few who feel the opposite way and felt the need to hurl insults when they saw her.

During the WrestleCon event yesterday, many wrestling stars are signing autographs, meet and greets, and photos with fans. Some legends, some current talent.

While apparently walking around the event yesterday, Gisele Shaw was met with a verbal barrage of insults about being transgender.

According to her account, which you can find below, she initially brushed it off and went on her way; but it bothered her enough to go back to the area to see who was insulting her.

It turned out be former wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner, and allegedly more Legends were around him and turned their heads the other way and ignored the situation.

WrestleCon comments on the situation:

Here are MANY of both her co-workers at IMPACT and others throughout the wrestling community who have her back.

And many others.

According to Gisele, there were also a few people with/around Rick who could’ve stood up for her or diffused the situation, yet chose to turn their heads and pretend it didn’t happen. These people should be outed as well, If true, because that is just as bad as being the one making the comments.

Gisele Shaw competed in a 4 way match against Deonna Purrazzo, Masha Slamovich, and Miyu Yamashita on Thursday night for the Multiverse United show for a shot at the IMPACT Knockouts Title. Although Deonna ended up finishing off Gisele and winning, all of the women in this match looked great.

The staff of Bodyslam.net are appalled by Rick’s actions and pissed off that Gisele had to go through this.

Just to piss off Rick and anybody else who is transphobic, Make sure you watch Gisele Shaw on IMPACT WRESTLING EVERY Thursday!
