IMPACT Wrestling Star Eddie Edwards Challenges NJPW Strong Openweight Champion, Kenta, To Title Fight; Match Made Official

Last Friday after competing in separate matches for the IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United event – Kenta successfully defended his Strong Openweight Title against Minoru Suzuki, and Eddie took part in an 8 man tag match – Kenta was talking about his victory when he was confronted by Eddie Edwards, who laid down a challenge for his Strong Openweight Title.

NJPW will be holding an event on 4/15 from Washington DC called Capital Collision, where Eddie Edwards will be getting a shot at Kenta’s Strong Openweight Title.

The last time both men battled against each other in a singles match was on in November of 2017 for Pro Wrestling Noah. Both men went over 30 minutes and it ended with Kenta hitting Eddie with the double stomp off the top rope and landing a pinfall.

You can see the full match below.

Who will win when they collide this time? We’ll have to tune in to the show to find out.
