Saraya Considered Leaving WWE After Bullying From Locker Room

Saraya faced a tough time when she joined Vince McMahon’s promotion back in 2011. After years of competing on the independent European circuit, she was thrilled to have been signed by the company, but little did she know that her time in the promotion’s developmental territory, FCW, would be filled with adversity.

Despite being an experienced wrestler, Saraya’s colleagues were allegedly intimidated by her and started bullying her. In a recent WWE Biography episode, the former Divas Champion revealed that she was only shown kindness by Summer Rae, while the other girls were just plain awful to her.

“I came in with previous wrestling experience and some of the girls were intimidated by that… The only person that was nice to me was Summer Rae… I remember they used to throw my sh*t out of the locker room… they told me I had to do my stuff in the shower and they were just awful.”

“I remember calling my mom and dad for like three or four months and I was crying my eyes out. These phone calls were really frequent at the start until she settled in. Many times she wanted to come home. All I’m saying is ‘give it time, it’s your big moment. They’re gonna test you.”

Despite the obstacles she faced, Saraya’s determination and resilience helped her to succeed in the wrestling industry. Her story serves as a reminder that sometimes it takes strength and courage to persevere and that one should never give up on their dreams, no matter how tough the going gets.
