‘Team Ambition’ Dojo Parts Ways with Former Head Coach Davey Richards

Team Ambition, the wrestling dojo based in St. Louis, Missouri, has announced that it is parting ways with its former head coach, Davey Richards.

That’s according to a tweet from the school, who announced earlier on Friday that they would be distancing themselves from the former Ring of Honor champion, due to reasons that will become evident in the coming days.

“The decision has been made for Team Ambition to formally and permanently part ways with Davey Richards,” the announcement stated.

The announcement shared that in the coming months, Team Ambition, including their Professional Wrestling Academy, will be undergoing many changes and rebranding.

“We remain dedicated to making the St. Louis Professional Wrestling scene, as well as Professional Wrestling as a whole, better and stronger,” the announcement stated. “We want to thank everyone sincerely for their ongoing support.”

Richards is still listed as the head coach on the Team Amibition website, along with Warhorse, Camero Jackson, and Mike Outlaw.

This will, presumably, be remedied once the rebranding occurs.

On their website, Team Ambition states that ‘Safety comes first,’ and that seems to be a pledge they are committed to keeping, which is why they are severing ties with any and all wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Richards, for his part, has deleted his Twitter, though his Instagram is still up, which showcases a variety of photos, including one with former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens.

Richards, a current professional wrestler with Major League Wrestling, has yet to comment on the situation.

Richards is currently scheduled for a match against Dan Moloney for Over the Top Wrestling on Friday night for Scrappermania 7 in Wolverhampton UK. On Sunday, he is scheduled to face Big Damo in Dublin for OTT as well.
