Sammy Guevara Doesn’t Want To Wrestle At AEW House Shows

Except for one non-televised event, “AEW: The House Always Wins,” AEW has mostly been a wrestling promotion dependent on television up until 2023. The promotion’s live event tour will begin in 2023 with AEW: House Rules.

There are many stars on the AEW roster that are eager to work these house shows, according to AEW President Tony Khan. But it looks like Sammy Guevara is one name that isn’t. Jon Moxley even had to nix an event overseas, so he could work the Ohio live event.

Sammy Guevara recently spoke with MuscleManMalcolm for The Sportster and made it very clear that he does not want to participate in the events that are not broadcast on television. Moreover, he is even attempting to reduce the number of bumps he takes.

“On the house shows, you can keep me off those. I’m trying not to have to take bumps, Okay? When I do take bumps. As you see, it’s been [in scenarios like] a crazy Ladder Match, and then you can keep me off for a little bit. I don’t want to bump often. But when I do want to make it crazy, so keep me off those.”

The Spanish God recently participated in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match on March 1’s AEW Dynamite. We will have to wait and see what the future has in store for Sammy Guevara in AEW.
