Austin Theory Says Creative Plans Weren’t Mapped Out Under Vince McMahon

Austin Theory is steadily building his reputation as one of WWE’s up-and-coming talents, showcasing his skills on television each week. The young wrestler has established himself as a formidable champion, with a solid record as the United States Champion, and continues to develop his abilities with each passing match.

In 2020, Theory received a major push on the main roster with the backing of former WWE Chairman and CEO, Vince McMahon. The then-25-year-old Superstar was mentored by McMahon and saw significant success, including a Money in the Bank contract win.

While speaking with Inside the Ropes, Austin Theory stated working with Vince McMahon was a thrilling experience. He explained that plans were subject to change at any given time, leaving room for flexibility in creative decisions.

“It’s like one of these things with WWE. And it’s so funny because this was back working with Vince McMahon – expect the unexpected. It’s just one of those things where there’s nothing that’s really set in stone and nothing that’s really mapped out. At any moment, anything can happen. It’s one of those things, you don’t really know where something’s gonna go. Honestly, you just show up and give it everything you’ve got and that’s what I do every time.”

Austin Theory’s comments shed some light on the inner workings of WWE’s creative process and how it has evolved over the years. While Vince McMahon was in charge, plans were fluid and could change at any time. But with Triple H taking the reins, there seems to be a shift in how things are done. Regardless, Theory continues to prove himself as a top talent in WWE and is poised for even greater success in the future.
