Tony Khan Explains Why He Booked Iron Man Match For Revolution

AEW President Tony Khan recently held a media call to promote the upcoming Revolution pay-per-view and answer questions about some of the hottest topics in the wrestling industry. During the call, Khan spoke about the challenges of booking an Iron Man match and how it affected the booking of Revolution and last night’s Dynamite.

Khan acknowledged that booking an Iron Man match was a bit different and forced them to have fewer matches on the PPV. He also discussed how the Face of the Revolution matchup normally takes place at Revolution, but they held it on Dynamite instead because it made more sense. Despite these challenges, Khan is confident in the ability of AEW’s wrestlers to deliver a great show.

Later in the call, Khan was asked about why he decided to book MJF and Danielson in the first 60-minute Iron Man match in AEW history. Khan explained that he believes the match is the ultimate test for a wrestler, testing their stamina and creativity. He has a lot of faith in both MJF and Danielson and believes they will be able to pull off an incredible match.

AEW Revolution will take place on March 5, 2023, at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California, marking AEW’s first PPV to be held in California.
