Big Show Recalls WWE Cutting 9 Minutes Of A 12 Minute Match On RAW

It’s not out of the ordinary to see a match get cut down for time. Sting and the Big Show were supposed to meet in a WWE ring and have a 12-minute contest, but Vince McMahon changed things up on them.

While speaking to the Generation Iron Fitness Network, Paul Wight revealed that he was supposed to have a 12-minute match with Sting on RAW, but something was screwed up with the timing. That saw 9 minutes get cut from their match.

“I wrestled Sting in WWE. We were supposed to have a 12-minute match. Something got screwed, I had to put Sting over in two minutes because he was going to WrestleMania [Night of Champions 2015]. It happened. I didn’t get anything [offense], but it wasn’t my job. My job at that time was to be a monster Sting needed to slay because he was going up in the company for something bigger.”

Paul Wight

Big Show had a stories career in the squared circle, even though The Undertaker told him to retire in 1999. We’ll have to see what’s next for Paul Wight and Sting, but they are both in AEW, so the two could pull off quite a feat if they wrestle against each other for three companies.
