Seth Rollins Could Not Afford To Train With CM Punk

Seth Rollins started working for the WWE when he signed with their developmental division, Florida Championship Wrestling, years ago, but he had a long journey prior to that. To prepare for competition in the ring, wrestlers must endure a long series of intense training sessions. Some wrestlers attended schools founded by seasoned professionals, if they can afford it.

While speaking to The Pat McAfee Show, Seth Rollins remembered a time when he lost the chance to train with CM Punk. The Visionary described how, at the age of 14, he decided he wanted to be a wrestler. With his buddies, he would bounce on a trampoline in his backyard while imitating motions from television. It all turned around one day when Seth Rollins found out about the Danny Daniels wrestling school. This prompted the future WWE World Heavyweight Champion to enroll in it and undergo professional training.

“So I actually went and got trained, I moved out to Philadelphia in a car, I packed up all my cr*p. I went out there and I was going to get trained by CM Punk. CM Punk, who was a big star in WWE and now works for the other company. No, but he — I didn’t have the money. I didn’t, I had no idea how to live on my own. Because I never went to college, I didn’t have like, I couldn’t even do my own laundry. I didn’t know what I was doing. I was an idiot.”

A feud between the two was supposedly planned, and it started when Rollins tweeted Punk to “fight him” while the latter was appearing on WWE Backstage. The Second City Saint responded to Punk’s, and the two engaged in a furious debate before the latter left due to his strained relationship with the company. We’ll have to see if their paths ever cross again.
