Roxanne Perez is keen on picking the brain of a first ballot Hall Of Famer.
Bayley is widely successful in WWE while Perez is labeled a “prodigy” by fans and peers as she’s picked up the sport at a young age and has already had more success than many long-time veterans in wrestling.
Speaking on Under The Ring, Roxanne was asked, besides her trainer Booker T, if there were any wrestlers who have helped guide her along the way.
“There are a couple of people, but one that really sticks out to me is Bayley. While she was down in the PC [WWE Performance Center] for rehab, we kind of got close and she took me and Cora (jade), Jacy Jayne, and Indi Hartwell under her wing and gave us so much advice. To this day, she’ll text me, ‘Oh my Gosh, that was a great match,’ and give me some critiques. She’s so awesome and always so open to me going up to her and asking wrestling questions or even life questions. She’s been like a big sister to me. It’s cool because I’ve looked up to her for so long. I have a picture with her when I like 14. I remember showing it to her when I met her at the PC. Her mind was blown. ‘Oh my God, my goal was to always inspire the younger generation, but I didn’t think I was ready to work with them yet.’ [laughs]. It’s cool. She’s amazing, she’s awesome,”Roxanne Perez
Roxanne would feature in the WWE Royal Rumble match last weekend, eventually being eliminated by Bayley and the rest of Damage CTRL. She will be defending her NXT Championship vs Toxic Attraction at NXT Vengeance Day.
