Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane Reportedly Set for UFC 285, UFC Heavyweight Championship Will Be On The Line

A huge Heavyweight classic could potentially be coming this March.

A photo that was taken in Las Vegas by the brother of Ciryl Gane has reportedly revealed the UFC’s plans to book a Heavyweight championship bout between Gane against former Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones.

Jones has not fought in almost three years, his last fight was a win to retain the Light Heavyweight championship vs. Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 by unanimous decision.

Prior to that win, he racked up wins against Thiago Santos, Alexander Gustaffson (2x), Daniel Cormier, Ovince Saint Preux, Glover Teixeira, Chael Sonnen, Vitor Belofrt, Rashad Evans and Mauricio Rua.

Jones only loss has came from a DQ loss against Matt Hamill from using illegal 12-6 elbows.

Gane’s is coming off a win in his last fight, he defeated Tai Tuivasa in the UFC’s debut Paris main event.

His only loss has come against the still-current Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou who has yet to comment on the reported billboard in Las Vegas.

Prior to the loss against Ngannou, Gane defeated Derrick Lewis for the interim UFC Heavyweight championship, Alexander Volkov and Junior Dos Santos.
