Ricky Steamboat Rules Out Royal Rumble 2023 Appearance: “I Think It’s Too Big A Stage For Me”

Ricky Steamboat’s decision to retire from the WWE came after a successful and storied career that spanned over three decades. He is a multiple-time champion and one of the most respected and beloved wrestlers in the industry. His absence from the Royal Rumble event, where he has not competed in 13 years, will be a disappointment to many fans.

Despite his retirement from wrestling, Steamboat’s legacy and impact on the WWE will continue to be remembered and celebrated by fans. His memorable matches and iconic moments will be looked back on with fondness and admiration. While speaking to Bill Apter recently, Steamboat made it clear that he would reject an offer from WWE to wrestle in the big annual January match.

We’ll have to see if Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat returns to WWE for any match at all. He seems very content in his retirement at this juncture, and a Royal Rumble spot doesn’t seem to interest him much.
