Karl Anderson is headed back to NJPW.
It was previously reported that Karl Anderson was headed back to NJPW, but now, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has some more information on Karl’s championship reign and dates beyond.
As Fightful Select had reported last month, Karl Anderson is headed back to Japan, and he might not be done. Sources familiar with the situation told Fightful that while the situation was unconventional, that New Japan Pro Wrestling had been made aware in August that Anderson and Doc Gallows would be heading back to WWE. A plan was put in order to have Anderson work dates around his WWE schedule and advance storylines. Those that we’ve spoken to said that the plan is still for Anderson to work more dates beyond his title defense in December, noting that he’s always been penciled in and planning to work the Tokyo Dome show. He and Gallows had committed to working those dates even before they left IMPACT Wrestling. We’ll work to find out more and let you know if that changes. The show would be notable for having talent from NJPW, Stardom, AEW, WWE and others if it ends up happening.– Fightful Select
NJPW could possibly have a very historic event on their hands.
