Jake Paul Accepts KSI Fight for August 27th at O2 Arena

Even though Jake Paul has not been able to secure a fight, it looks like he might have one soon.

After both fights vs. Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr. both got cancelled due to Fury not being able to make it to the U.S and Rahman Jr. not making weight. It looks like the YouTuber-turned-Boxing sensation could be facing off against another foe.

Who is that foe? KSI. The British YouTube star who has had his share of boxing bouts. He had two fights in his amateur career where he defeated Joe Weller by TKO in the 3rd round of a 6-round fight. He would draw vs. Logan Paul, the older brother of Jake before the two fought again, this time in a pro boxing bout where KSI was victorious by split decision.

KSI was scheduled to fight Alex Wassabi on August 27th, Wassabi is another YouTuber who has had his fair share of beef with KSI. However Wassabi is not able to compete due to suffering an injury and that is where (Jake) Paul enters the conversation of who to fight KSI next.

According to Ariel Helwani of the MMA Hour, Paul has proposed a fight against YouTuber KSI on Aug. 27 after KSI’s previously scheduled bout was canceled. Per Helwani, Paul is willing to step in as Wassabi’s replacement on the same date and at the same venue, the O2 Arena in London if KSI is able to accept a fight at 180 pounds.

While KSI hasn’t fought since beating (Logan) Paul in 2019, (Jake) Paul has been far more active, posting a 5-0 record since his debut in 2020.

(Jake) Paul owns victories over YouTuber AnEsonGib, former NBA guard Nate Robinson and a pair of former UFC stars in Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.

Fury or Rahman would have been the younger Paul’s first opponent with legitimate boxing experience, meaning he may have been an underdog in those fights. Instead, Paul figures to be a huge favorite against KSI if the latter decides to accept the reported offer.
