Roman Reigns Hopes SummerSlam is His Last Time Facing Brock Lesnar, Cites How Much It Hurts To Wrestle Brock As Reason

Roman Reigns isn’t a fan of wrestling Brock Lesnar so consistently.

Roman and Lesnar have been feuding for what feels like forever. Kickstarting at WrestleMania 31 over seven years ago, the pair have faced off in several WrestleMania and SummerSlam main events in the past.

Reigns spoke to TODAY about wrestling Brock Lesnar, stating that he hopes this weekends match between the pair is the final one.

“I hope it’s the last time. It hurts. It’s brutal being in the ring with Brock. He’s a big ol’ country boy and has such a great, legitimate background. He started as an amateur wrestler, all the way through the collegiate ranks, into the UFC, heavyweight champion. He’s dominated WWE for a long time. The only problem he has is Roman Reigns showed up and took over. It’s going to be great,”

“I feel great. I’m on a course now to do something that no one has ever done, dominate Brock Lesnar. We’re really entering that kind of timeframe in my career where I’m really pushing myself to a different level and trying to achieve things that have never been done before. Anytime you can beat Brock Lesnar three times in a row, that’s pretty good. That’s a feather in the cap.”

Roman Reigns to Today

Time will tell if SummerSlam will be the final match between the pair, but they are set for a world title Last Man Standing match for the main event of the premium live event.
