Original Creative Plans For Roman Reigns As Unified World Champion Revealed

It looks like we aren’t the only ones upset by Roman Reigns not being on TV as much.

Two months ago at WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns unified the WWE and Universal World Titles in the WWE by defeating Brock Lesnar. Since then, Roman has not been on TV as much and missed the Hell In A Cell PPV. He will return to WWE TV next week to defend those titles for the first time since WrestleMania.

Now, per WrestleVotes on Twitter, the creative team believed that putting both titles on Roman would lead to more TV dates, not less.

According to a source, the creative decision to unity the titles was with the understanding it would allow Roman Reigns to appear on BOTH shows more regularly. …maybe that wasn’t the best decision.

Time will tell how the creative team will have to alter their previous plans because of Roman working less dates but it would be interesting to know if WWE would have gone through with unifying the titles if they had known.
