Edge Did Not Want Judgement Day To Be A “Supernatural” Faction

It looks like Edge wasn’t a fan of creatives ideas for Judgement Day.

Judgement Day began as a simple faction, with Edge being the leader to two loyal subjects in Damien Priest and Rhea Ripley. Finn Balor was added to the faction this past Monday on RAW and there was a twist in play. Finn would turn Priest and Ripley on Edge and a beatdown would ensue.

Per Fightful’s paywall, WWE originally had a different supernatural pitch for Judgment Day and the Rated R Superstar was opposed to it.

WWE had mentioned taking Judgment Day a “supernatural” route, which Edge was said to have been opposed to. Word started to emerge in the afternoon hours ahead of WWE Raw that a big shift involving Finn Balor and Edge was set to happen.

Of course, with Edge now being a face again following the beatdown, it may lead to the WWE going full tilt on the supernatural gimmick for the faction. Finn Balor as the leader will likely open the door to some interesting situations.
