Edict Sent To AEW To Remove MJF From Promotional Content

It looks like the work will continue to grow.

We have seen over the last week how AEW have transformed a shoot situation involving MJF and Tony Khan into a work on TV. On last week’s Dynamite, MJF would cut a scathing pipe bomb promo which lead to MJF leaving the arena after the camera being cut on his promo.

A recent report from Mike Johnson of PW Insider claims that an edict was handed down from WB-Discovery to remove MJF from all promotional videos and commercials for Tony Khan’s company.

“A source at Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed to PWInsider.com today that late last week, there was an edict issued to remove MJF from all promotional spots and commercials for AEW programming going forward.”

“MJF is currently being edited out of any TBS and TNT spots he appears in with different AEW footage replacing him.  We are told that the existing spots with MJF have been officially pulled but it’s possible some may still pop up as they transition to the newer spots.”

If Tony Khan has convinced Warner Bros executives to add into the storyline, it is a fantastic example of the promotions ability to blur the line between work and reality.
