William Regal knows talent when he see’s it.
The last 24 hours have been a roller-coaster of news regarding Sasha Banks and her tag team partner Naomi. The pair walked out of last nights Monday night RAW taping, handing in their tag team titles as they did. WWE issued a formal statement condoning the pair and the broadcast included Corey Graves condemning Naomi and Banks’ actions as unprofessional.
While speaking on ”The Sessions with Renée Paquette,” William Regal talked about his time in WWE, particularly his run as an authority figure in NXT. Regal revealed that he put his job on the line for Sasha Banks.
“There’s only four people that I have ever gone to Mr. McMahon or to Triple H with whom I have said I put my reputation on.”
“I put my job on the line once for Sasha Banks. She was somebody I went because I knew her, and my first thing on the job was to hire this lady. I said, ‘If it doesn’t work out, you can fire me.’ She’s not one of them. That was a separate thing.”William Regal on The Sessions
Its probably a good thing Regal is no longer in the WWE to face the wrath of Vince McMahon. What do you make of Regal’s comments? Let us know in our sites comment section and our social media pages.
