It was an interesting second night at the NFL draft.
For wrestling fans, we also got some fun cameos in the form of The Miz, Titus O’Neil and Gable Steveson appearing to announce picks for their respective teams as they each took the stage. Steveson announced a draft pick for the Minnesota Vikings, Miz announced for the Cleveland Browns and Titus O’Neil announced for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This comes on the back of Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair appearing at the Taylor-Serrano weigh ins yesterday, it would appear WWE are trying to branch out more into a mainstream audience and could be seen as a way to counter AEW’s higher quality of in ring wrestling. Time will tell if this will catch on and if it will lead to more viewers for WWE shows.
