AEW Dynamite Stays Hot, Posts 3rd-Best Rating in It’s History

AEW Dynamite has been on a hot streak since returning to Wednesday nights following the conclusion of the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs on TNT.

Coming off a huge number last week (1.025 Million), Dynamite saw a significant increase this time around. The July 21st, 2021 edition of the show was watched by over 1.14 million people, according to Brandon Thurston of WrestleNomics. The show also posted a .44 rating in the key 18-49 demo, which is up from last week’s impressive .40.

The 1.14 rating is the third-highest in the history of AEW Dynamite. The only two episodes of the show to top this are the April 14th, 2021 edition (which featured Boxing legend “Iron” Mike Tyson and drew a 1.219 rating) and the very first Dynamite back in October of 2019 (Which drew a 1.4)

Sadly, don’t expect the streak of AEW Dynamite hitting a million viewers to continue into next week. The show will be going head-to-head with the Summer Olympics for the first time, which has proven to be a killer to WWE ratings in the past.
