Rhea Ripley Would Have Been Fine If Charlotte Had Been Added To Her WrestleMania Match

Charlotte Flair was taken off television after some confusion around her health issues. Testing positive for COVID-19 and a false positive she had been pregnant, it seemed she was finally all clear but she has yet to return for WrestleMania.

Rhea Ripley spoke with WrestleTalk and revealed she actually expected Charlotte to be back in time for WrestleMania, but also revealed she thought that eventually Charlotte would be added to her match against Asuka for the Raw Women’s Title.

“Yeah, I was expecting something like that to happen, but it hasn’t. I hope that everything in Charlotte’s life is doing great. I hope that she’s mentally good and physically good. I don’t really know what’s going on with all of that, but I am very excited to step in the ring with Asuka. If Charlotte got added to the match, like I wouldn’t complain. I think it would still be an amazing match, and it would be a lot of fun and hopefully I could get some payback for last year.”

Ripley wasn’t originally scheduled to face Asuka at WrestleMania, but when plans change someone has to step up. Thankfully, Ripley did and now she has a chance to capture her first win on the Grandest Stage of Them All after losing to Charlotte last year.
