Marty Scurll Allegedly Interested In Returning To NJPW

Marty Scurll hasn’t been seen much since the Speaking Out allegations came out involving him. Ring of Honor dropped him despite signing him to a lucrative deal that also moved him into the position of being the company’s head booker.

Scurll didn’t deny his allegations either, but it certainly has set him up to have problems finding a new home. Now it seems he may be a step closer to getting back into the pro wrestling business according to Fightful Select. THe site has reported Scurll was backstage at a recent NJPW Strong taping at the LA Dojo. There was no confirmation whether or not he had any direct involvement, but it was said Scurll is showing interest in returning to the company. He is a former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion but hasn’t worked for them since June of 2019 when he was in the Best of the Super Juniors event.

We were not told that Scurll had any involvement in the tapings. However, he was there, and spent time at the tapings in California.

Scurll might be a little too risky of a signing for his friends in All Elite Wrestling, and it’s unclear if NJPW is interested in signing him, but it could be an interesting workaround for the company to bring him in if NJPW is contracting him and not them thanks to their partnership.
