People learned that Bad Bunny was a pro wrestling fan when he released his track Booker T. Now the world has seen what a big fan he is by his work in recent weeks with the WWE. All the work the pop star has put in has made it look like he’s destined to find himself living a dream few get to live – competing at WrestleMania.
There were reports Bad Bunny has been at the PC, training to actually be capable of pulling things off for a good match at WrestleMania. All the signs are pointing toward he and Damian Priest meeting The Miz and John Morrison on the grandest stage of them all, but it seems like Bad Bunny is keeping things down to earth while going through all this.
Triple H talked about Bad Bunny on the conference call promoting the next NXT TakeOver, and while referring to Bad Bunny as “just one of the guys” during his training sessions, he also put over that Bad Bunny has a lot of respect for the business in his preparations.
“I can tell you I have not been more impressed with anyone sorta walking in the door like, ‘hey I’d like to do this thing with you and engage with you’ as Bad Bunny. I cannot… he is phenomenal; so respectful to what we do. He’s the biggest fan living a dream right now, but in every way that you could possibly imagine he is respectful and loving what we’re doing. He’s so into it.”
“I see him training all the time. I see him working out all the time. When he’s there, he’s just one of the guys and it’s just awesome to see. I just can’t say enough good stuff about him.”
Bad Bunny has given crossover appeal to the WWE in amazing ways. He’s been the top selling merchandise on WWE’s online shop this year, bringing in over $500,000 in merchandise sales. He has a chance to add to that thanks to new merchandise released for him recently, and if he’s really heading to WrestleMania, surely we’ll see even more there. However, for now, he’s just one of the guys.
