Jay White Weighs In On “Bullet Club” Reunion In America

Jay White returned to New Japan recently, and now he’s taken shots at the “fake” Bullet Club.

White returned to New Japan to attack Tomohiro Ishii, but following that came a scathing promo where he weighed with his thoughts on the “Bullet Club” reunion of Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and The Good Brothers. While there’s no partnership with AEW and New Japan that could allow them to become an actual reunion, Bullet Club has been referenced on commentary, the return of the Too Sweet hand gesture, and even allusion in the merchandise of Gallows and Anderson. One person who has been VERY vocal about his displeasure over this is Tama Tonga, who feels the group responsible sold out the Bullet Club to make their money and is now trying to cash back in now that they’ve had their pay days.

White’s promo made it crystal clear that he feels the exact same way.

“In case you forgot. In case there was any question. IT’S STILL MY ERA! New Japan, across the world in pro wrestling, it’s still my era. It is the real era. I’m still Bullet Club. I’m real Bullet Club! This is real Bullet Club right here! We’re not a cheap rip-off trying to re-create the past and regain relevance and doing corny reunions just so you can sell shitty t-shirts. Of course, you all still buy them because you are you. Let me tell you what real Bullet Club is about. It’s about change, moving forward, progression. It’s not about living in the past or going backwards.”

Nick Jackson wasn’t afraid to take a shot at the existing Bullet Club either. He reminded them that their reunion shot the Bullet Club t-shirt back into the top sellers on Pro Wrestling Tees. It’s unsure if there’s actual bad blood here, or if the group is laying the groundwork in case we see an actual partnership between All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling, but it’s worth remembering even before The Bucks and others left New Japan to form All Elite Wrestling, Bullet Club had already broken away from “The Elite” in The Bucks, Cody Rhodes, Adam Page, Kenny Omega, and Marty Scurll and Gallows and Anderson had long since left to the WWE.
