Kevin Owens Wears Shirt For NXT Tag Team On SmackDown, Roman Reigns Threatens Them

Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens exchanged words on the final SmackDown before the Royal Rumble last night, and while wrestlers are known for wearing their own merchandise, Owens took a different path.

During the interview, it was shown Owens was wearing a t-shirt from NXT and 205 Live team Ever-Rise, long time friends of Owens. Not wanting to miss out on a chance to capitalize on the free publicity, Matt Martel from the duo took to social media to show off Owens wearing the official WWE merch.

Not one to take the slight, Owens’ rival and opponent this Sunday night wasn’t afraid to put the NXT team on notice that he wasn’t pleased with Owens lately, and his friends may become collateral damage to The Tribal Chief’s anger. His own response on Twitter revealed he’s not afraid to use his clout to have them ban the shirt from WWE Shop.

Better buy these shirts now. Once I retain on Sunday, I’m going to have them banned from @WWEShop.

Maybe WWE will play along with this little game, so you might want to buy those Ever-Rise shirts now while you can.
