Dalton Castle Files Trademark On His Name

Sometimes the first step in taking control of your destiny in pro wrestling is a simple step. It might be something like testing free agency, or it might be something like trademarking your ring name. In the case of Dalton Castle, it’s doing both.

Not long after Castle revealed he would be testing free agency, Castle has filed paperwork to trademark the Dalton Castle name. Castle, real name Brett Giehl, riled the paperwork with the USPTO on January 14th. The name is being filed for the usual categories as a pro wrestler’s name would be use for. This was first reported by Heel By Nature.

Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and peformances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.

Castle has given no indication if he is going anywhere outside Ring of Honor, and he hasn’t ruled out re-signing with the company. However, no moves have been made as of yet.
