Marty Scurll And Ring Of Honor Part Ways

Marty Scurll is a free agent.

Ring of Honor kept the announcement short and sweet, simply taking to Twitter to release a seven word statement in graphic form, announcing they have parted ways with “The Villain.” Scurll, who signed a lucrative deal to remain with the company which allowed him to take dates outside the company and turned him into the company’s head booker, has been in limbo following allegations made during the Speaking Out movement.

The writing on the wall began to show up when Scurll was removed from the roster on the website and news leaked in October that Scurll had been replaced by former booker of the company Delirious.

Scurll was not at the Final Battle tapings, the final ones of the year, and all of this happened as ROH said he was “iced” pending an internal investigation from Sinclair Broadcasting. Now, it seems the investigation has come to an end.

While many will wonder about his next destination, surely many will think he is AEW-bound to join his friends in The Elite. While nothing is certain, it remains to be seen if AEW has interest in bringing him in following the accusations made against him. Stay tuned to Bodyslam for this developing story.
