Update On Marty Scurll’s ROH Status

The #SpeakingOut movement brought a lot of accusations to light against professional wrestlers current and former, and one of the biggest names to be accused of inappropriate acts and behavior is former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and current RoH star Marty Scurll. Scurll had been accused of having sex with a 16 year old girl when he was 26. However, in the UK where he was accused of this, 16 is the legal age of consent.

Recently, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported former booker Hunter “Delirious” Johnson returned to the role once given to Scurll. It was also reported Scurll along with Dan Maff had been removed from the roster on the RoH website. Though it has been confirmed that Maff has been released from the company, Scurll is still seemingly employed but being unused by the company.

It had earlier been reported Scurll had been “iced” pending an internal investigation by ROH’s parent company Sinclair Broadcasting, but Sinclair has been notorious at being slow in those investigations, leaving “The Villain” in a state of limbo. While still employed, Scurll doesn’t appear to have anything going on at the moment and there is no timetable for his return to his position as booker or as an on air talent.
