Brodie Lee Tribute Episode Of Dynamite Draws Almost One Million Viewers

Last night’s AEW Dynamite was going to have a lot of attention with the wrestling community wanting to see how they would pay tribute to Brodie Lee. With NXT still having a show head to head, how were this week’s ratings now that they were head to head again?

PWTorch’s Twitter account has reported AEW Dynamite had 977,000 viewers against NXT’s 586,000 in the overnight ratings. This earned them a .40 in the 18-49 demographic, against NXT’s .12.

Last week as each show ran unopposed thanks to Dynamite being preempted due to NBA, AEW still won with 775,000 to 698,000. AEW also improved on last week’s demo win having .35 last week to NXT’s .19.

AEW has drawn close to a million viewers quite a few times in December, with the week before that having 995,000 viewers and the Winter Is Coming episode the week before that drawing in 913,000.

While ratings obviously don’t matter in the perspective of Brodie Lee’s life, it was obvious fans wanted to see how AEW would pay tribute to their late former TNT Champion and Exalted One of the Dark Order. This week will mean nothing in the grand scheme of all of it, as it was far more important to honor a man and pay respect to him.
