Jungle Boy Says Wrestling Chris Jericho Made Him A Better Wrestler

One of the highlights of AEW Dynamite in 2019 was Jungle Boy showing he could last in the ring against the then-AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. Jungle Boy had a handful of minutes to prove he was capable of hanging with Jericho and managed to do so, AEW helping create a new star in the process.

Jungle Boy, along with the remainder of Jurassic Express, were the guests on AEW Unrestricted this week and Jungle Boy had a chance to talk about his match with Jericho and how he felt it impacted him.

“I feel like the second I touched Chris [Jericho], I became a better wrestler. It sounds dramatic, but literally by the end of that match, my whole perspective and everything on wrestling was different.”

Young talent working with established veterans willing to help them only makes them better and can only inevitably make the product better. Jungle Boy seems to have a lot of support within the AEW back office, so getting him high profile matches like this can only help him improve. Jack Perry is definitely one to watch as the company continues to grow, especially as they keep giving him matches against bigger stars like MJF, Jericho, and when he teams with Luchasaurus against the likes of Kenny Omega & Hangman Page or what seems to be an impending rivalry with FTR.
