Backstage News On Retribution And Ricochet

The trajectory of Retribution has been up and down. The group looked to be absolutely unstoppable despite little creative direction for the group. Then the creative team locked down which stars would be featured in the faction and got themselves a leader in Mustafa Ali.

Since then, things have been a mixed bag, which Retribution no longer being booked strong or protected in their losses. The group became a victim of the company’s lack of long term planning, but it seems like they have found some direction for the group, even if it’s a temporary one.

PWInsider has reported that Retribution’s rivalry with Ricochet looks to be the current creative direction for the group, and will be an ongoing storyline for the next several weeks.

Retribution pushing Ricochet to join their group is something that will continue to play out in the weeks ahead.

Ricochet has one singles match remaining after encounters with Slapjack, Mace, and Mustafa Ali. With T-Bar likely the next singles match, we can at least look forward to a rematch of the outstanding Ali/Ricochet match from a few weeks back and perhaps other matches involving Ricochet and the group along the way. While their report didn’t state if the end result will have Ricochet join the faction, it’s nice to see the group have some sort of direction now.
