On January 1st, 2021 Ethan Page’s contract with IMPACT Wrestling expires, thus making him one of the hottest free agents in recent years.
Over the last few weeks we have seen what has been a potential tease that The North, his tag team along with Josh Alexander might be breaking up. Page had a lot to say about that, stating that regardless of where he ends up The North will never split. That answers that question, but there are a lot more surrounding Ethan Page’s future.. like what about Karate Man?
Ethan Page was a guest on Bodyslam.net’s The Push podcast, and he was asked about the future of Karate Man. Page said that Karate Man is his, it’s an original character that has a mind of it’s own, and an allegiance to no place. However, he went on to reveal that in a dream scenario he would want to do a legitimate Karate Man short film by the end of 2021.
“Here’s the thing, Karate Man is mine. It’s a Played By Julian original. It’s a character that’s got a mind of it’s own with no allegiance to any place…he could show up anywhere and do anything. I think it’s one of those characters that’s going to just freely pass through as many places as possible. He’s been on Talk N Shop A Mania, he’s always popping up on my vlog and YouTube specials…he’s had matches at independent wrestling events against UFC fighters! Karate Man has a life of its own. It’s going to be interesting over the course of time to see how the character evolves and where he pops up…in a dream scenario by the end of 2021 I’ll be able to do a legitimate short film for the Karate Man, like an origin story or [something].”

We will have to see what’s next for the careers of both Ethan Page, and Karate Man.
