AAA Lucha Libre’s TripleMania XXVIII event was tonight and featured a match where four luchadors debuted featuring gimmicks based on Marvel Comic characters.
Aracno and Leyenda Americana were on the losing end in their debut match against Terror Púrpura and Venenoide. For those who didn’t know, that’s Spider-Man and Captain America losing to Thanos and Venom.
According to LuchaBlog’s Twitter account, it appears that they brought in some heavy hitters to play the roles. According to their account, it was Lio Rush (Aracno) & Daga (Americana) against Brian Cage (Púrpura) and AAA star Taurus (Venenoide).
For those wondering, The Super J-Cup has already been taped, which has allowed for Lio Rush to make this appearance for AAA.
A fifth character under the guise of Captain Marvel arrived post match, where it was said that Kylie Rae was originally scheduled to get that character. We will have more on this as it develops.
