Joey Ryan Seeking Judgment In Lawsuit Against IMPACT Wrestling

Joey Ryan may have lost his career to the Speaking Out movement, but he hasn’t gone quietly.

Ryan not only released a bizarre video where he denied all accusations strongly, but then filed lawsuits against his accusers and a libel lawsuit against former RoH wrestler Pelle Primeau claiming libel. Primeau is currently seeking dismissal of the lawsuit.

Another lawsuit Ryan filed was against Impact Wrestling, who fired Ryan upon the accusations coming out, stating that anything that happened before the time of Ryan signing his contract should not have been considered in their termination of his contract. Now PWInsider has reported that Ryan is requesting judgment from the Circuit Court of Davidson County, Tennessee. Impact had been granted a 30-day extension on top of the original 30 days they had to respond to Ryan’s Lawsuit.

Ryan’s lawsuit was filed on September 24th, with the company responding on December 4th.

Ryan is seeking $10 million in damages from Anthem/Impact Wrestling, claiming breach of contract. Anthem has denied the allegations, but Ryan is continuing on.

Meanwhile, Ryan has a court date on December 21st in California in regards to the libel lawsuit against Primeau.
