Update On Arturo Ruas Following Surgery

Arturo Ruas had just returned to NXT where they had started building plans for him. The company had even filmed content to prepare for what was said to be actual plans for him before a biceps injury suffered in his return match against Kushida sidelined all his plans.

Ruas originally was called up to the main roster by Paul Heyman where creative did nothing for him until they began the RAW Underground segments. Ruas became a staple of those until the segments were canceled and he had no plans in the pipeline for him. He was listed as a Raw Superstar in the 2020 draft, but not drafted and thus became a free agent, though it seems from recent reports they intended to keep him on the RAW brand.

As recently learned, Ruas’ return to NXT wasn’t meant to be a full time change. Ruas along with Dabba-Kato are said to need more “seasoning” and this brief return to the brand would have been to help get some of that. However, his injury has dampened those plans, but he is on the road to recovery. Ruas took to Twitter to update fans after his surgery. He now seems ready to make his recovery and return stronger.

Good luck to Ruas as he recovers.
