NXT UK Cruiserweight Champion Issues Open Challenge For Next Week

On last night’s NXT UK the self proclaimed real Cruiserweight champion Jordan Devlin delivered a promo via video package, regarding his cruiserweight championship, in the video package Devlin speaks on his pride in bringing the NXT UK Cruiserweight championship to NXT UK. He also stated that he wants to defend his championship whenever he is in the ring for the brand and issued an open challenge to all NXT UK superstars under 205lbs.

Jordan Devlin won the cruiserweight championship at a Worlds Collide event back in February of this year, but the global health pandemic meant Devlin was unable to travel to the America due to travel restrictions put in place.

NXT UK was also forced to stop filming, as such NXT held a tournament for an interim Cruiserweight champion which was won by Santos Escobar. Jordan Devlin was later suspended by the WWE due an allegation lobbied against him during the speaking out movement, with Escobar becoming the official Cruiserweight champion.

NXT UK restarted back in September and a few weeks later Jordan Devlin made his return to NXT UK Television in October, when he returned to NXT UK he brought with him his Cruiserweight championship, declaring himself the real Champion.

Three weeks ago Sid Scalla confirmed on an Episode on NXT UK that he had spoken with NXT General Manager William Regal and received authorization for Devlin to defend his Championship on NXT UK and two weeks ago Jordan Devlin successfully defended his title against Amir Jordan.

Jordan Devlin’s Open Challenge is set to start next week, who do you think will be the first superstar to challenge for Devlin’s Cruiserweight championship?
