Madusa Drops Angry Tweet About Major Promotions Not Using Older Female Talent

Wrestling fans loyal to one promotion have been prone to start some interesting arguments. WWE fans think AEW fans give them a free pass for things the company would do.

This has come into light recently as a fan called out AEW for putting the AEW World Title on one of their EVPs in Kenny Omega. He took to Twitter to respond to that fan, but other criticisms have popped up recently. The appearance of Sting and AEW fans getting excited for them bringing him in has had WWE fans call hypocrisy on AEW, believing that AEW fans would rebuke the WWE for bringing in an older performer for a high level spot in the company.

The 61-year old Sting generated a lot of positive buzz for the company, but a point made by WWE Hall of Famer and legend Madusa has started raising eyebrows. A fan had pointed out in a meme the hypocrisy by some fans, and called out how promotions rarely call upon female talent from the “golden age.”

Madusa’s argument stems from the idea no promotion calls upon older female talent to make returns or in high position spots on the card. Though AEW has brought in Madusa recently, the appearances were brief and have not continued. While WWE has often brought back Trish Stratus and Lita, it seems like nobody’s spoken to her about a return match or an opportunity to still show what she can do. It’s clearly something she’s passionate about, especially after reading her tweet.
