Reason Why Eddie Kingston Was Screaming At Commentary At the End of Dynamite

The end of last night’s Dynamite seemed exceptionally chaotic in the moments after Kenny Omega won the AEW World Title. Don Callis rushed him out of Daily’s Place to a waiting car and lost in all that was Eddie Kingston arriving at the announce table, screaming how he wanted to fight Lance Archer. If fans noticed it, it was confused despite Kingston having been announced for a 6-man tag match against Archer & The Lucha Bros next week.

There was purpose behind that, as most things AEW does, and Dave Meltzer revealed it on Wrestling Observer Radio.

According to his report, Kingston and Archer were going to go on air had the AEW World Title Match ended before the end of the night. Unfortunately for the two, the World Title match took up the rest of the television time remaining, and the two weren’t needed to fill the rest of the time alotted.

Kingston was doing his job, and the plan was to use last night to build up next week’s encounter even further, but they were just a victim of time constraints.
