The Undertaker Recalls Famous Encounter With Brock Lesnar At UFC 121

One of The Underatker’s most famous confrontations with Brock Lesnar wasn’t in the ring, but happened to be after one of Lesnar’s fights with UFC. Undertaker was being interviewed when the two exchanged words after Lesnar’s loss to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121. While the confrontation wasn’t physical, it was meant to draw attention which it did.

During Undertaker’s second Broken Skull Sessions, he and Steve Austin talked about this, and Undertaker said that encounter did exactly what he wanted.

“Business, brother. Forward thinking? Yeah, absolutely. I was there to pick a fight. Yeah, [Lesnar] knew I was there, but my whole mindset there was to pick a fight and start a buzz, and I knew it wouldn’t take much. That was nothing. I mean, it was so simple, but it created such a buzz. It was a shame that it took so long to come to fruition.”

It wasn’t until much later when Lesnar returned to the company that things paid off for that encounter. While nothing was thought about it at the time, it certainly did its part to get some background for what was eventually the end of Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak. You can see the encounter below.
