NXT UK Champion WALTER is itching to get back into action for the UK exclusive brand. But during a recent interview WALTER tells GiveMeSport he revealed he is particularly excited to possibly face a UK talent from the main roster.
“500 days is a long run with a title, but to be fair, we’ve had half a year break. We’ve got to put it into perspective but going forward, these new tapings will give us a chance to step up,”
Walter has never been someone to hide what he thinks about the WWE product, especially Raw and SmackDown. He also has stated several times he isn’t interested in a full-time career in the states, but he is interested in possibly facing Drew McIntyre.
“I’m not focused on if I want to go to RAW or SmackDown, I’m not that sort of guy. But I have a lot of respect for Drew. He represents European wrestling as a whole very well in the United States. I really like his style of wrestling, he’s a big and tall guy, very intense. I’m hoping for a singles match with him one day.”
Drew was actually the one who eliminated Walter during the 2019 men’s Survivor Series match. Is it possible that Walter hasn’t forgotten about that? I guess we’ll see in time. As of writing, NXT UK is scheduled to return on September 17th. I cannot wait to see this promotion back, especially after such a long break.
